Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 September 2026
These terms set out the rules for booking and staying at Alexander Apartments, ul. Sokolska 30A, Katowice. By making a booking you accept these terms.
1. General
The apartments are let by AXG Aleksander Posmyk, ul. Graniczna 29, 40-017 Katowice, NIP 954-246-23-80 (the “Owner”).
The apartments are located in the Sokolska 30 Towers complex, ul. Sokolska 30A, 40-086 Katowice. The address at ul. Graniczna 29 is the Owner’s registered office only and is not the check-in address.
These terms apply to short stays (nightly lets). Long-term lets are governed by a separate lease agreement.
2. Booking and payment
Bookings can be made via the form on this website, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp. A booking becomes binding once the Guest receives written confirmation (email) stating the dates, price and payment terms.
The price covers the stay for the stated number of guests, utilities, bed linen, towels, final cleaning and use of the building’s facilities (sauna, gym, kids’ playroom). Extras are charged according to the price list on the website or as individually quoted.
Payment is made by bank transfer, by card via a payment link, or in cash at check-in, as stated in the booking confirmation. The Owner may require a deposit or prepayment; the amount and due date are stated in the booking confirmation.
A VAT invoice is issued on request. Invoice details must be provided no later than the day of check-in.
3. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation terms and any refund of the deposit are set out in the booking confirmation. Unless agreed otherwise, free cancellation is available up to 7 days before arrival; for later cancellations or no-shows the deposit is non-refundable. A booking for specific dates is a contract for the provision of accommodation services, so under Article 38(12) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. Only the cancellation terms described above apply.
Dates may be changed subject to availability. Shortening a stay after check-in does not entitle the Guest to a refund for unused nights.
4. Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 3 pm on the day of arrival and check-out is by 11 am on the day of departure. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged in advance and may carry an additional charge.
Instructions for collecting keys or access codes are sent before arrival. Keys must be returned at check-out; a lost key or access card will be charged at replacement cost.
Only the persons named in the booking may stay in the apartment. The maximum number of guests is stated in the apartment description.
5. House rules
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment and on the balcony. Breaching this rule incurs a specialist cleaning fee.
- Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am, in line with the building’s house rules. Parties are not permitted.
- Pets are allowed only by prior arrangement.
- Guests use the building’s facilities (sauna, gym, playroom) in accordance with the rules displayed in those areas and at their own risk.
- Guests must use the apartment for its intended purpose and report any faults as soon as they notice them.
6. Liability
The Guest is liable for damage to the apartment and its contents caused by the Guest or by persons for whom the Guest is responsible. Damage will be charged at the actual cost of repair or replacement.
The Owner is not liable for belongings left in the apartment or for vehicles left in the car park, unless the loss is caused by the Owner’s negligence.
In the event of a serious breach of these terms, the Owner may terminate the stay with immediate effect without refunding the amount paid.
7. Complaints and final provisions
Complaints may be submitted by email or phone using the contact details on this website. The Owner will respond within 14 days.
Consumers may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, for example by applying for mediation or arbitration at the Silesian Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Katowice, or by seeking free assistance from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman. The list of authorised bodies is kept by the Polish consumer authority UOKiK (uokik.gov.pl).
Matters not covered by these terms are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code. The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
